Introduction

 Summary

From the responses collected at the MWC, it appears that the baby boxes not only provided a safe sleep environment, but other benefits to mothers and infants.

Mothers were easily able to reach their babies during the night without any problems, as well as complete other tasks and assist other children while the babies were in the box. Babies also appeared to be more content in the baby box, as mothers stated that babies seemed to sleep better and were easily calmed once being placed inside of the baby box. Babies also had increased mobility while inside the box, which may have benefited in early growth and development. Even after the baby box is no longer able to be used for safe sleep, mothers will be able to use the baby box as a convenient place to store baby items.
